Sun Runner Celebrates 20 Years of Covering Desert Culture, Issues, Travel & Life
January 1, 2015 may be New Year's Day, but it also commemorates the first 20 years of publishing for The Sun Runner, The Journal of the Real Desert - and the beginning of our 21st year in print and digital editions, on the radio (Friday afternoons on KX 96.3/92.1 FM in the hi- and low deserts), on the web, and on television through our PBS series, Southwest Stories with Steve Brown (formerly The Real Desert with Steve Brown). Southwest Stories will begin airing this March on KVCR PBS to 5.7 million households across southern California.
To celebrate our first 20 years, a major redesign of the magazine is in the works, and businesses and individuals can add their name to a congratulatory page in the upcoming Desert Road Trips Issue for $20 - a dollar for each year. It's a great way to support the ongoing journalistic mission of The Sun Runner, and to be part of history in the process!
