The 13th annual Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours returns this October


The popular Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours returns the last weekend of October and first weekend of November. This year's event, the 13th annual open studio tours in the hi-desert, boasts 140 artists across 95 studio locations.

The art tours features artists from all of the Joshua Tree Gateway Communities, from Morongo Valley to Wonder Valley. This year, the east end of the hi-desert (Joshua Tree, Twentynine Palms, Wonder Valley) is featured the first weekend (October 25-26), with the west end (Morongo Valley, Yucca Valley, Pioneertown, Landers, Joshua Tree), featured the second weekend. Some studios and galleries will be open both weekends.

The Hwy 62 Open Studio Art Tours is one of the premier events for the Joshua Tree Gateway Communities, and a Sun Runner favorite! There's no better way to explore the hi-desert around Joshua Tree National Park than to visit our artists in person at their studios, where you can enjoy refreshments, view their work, and get to know the folks who make the art. (Tip: Prices are very reasonable, so if you're ready for holiday shopping, this is one of the best gift opportunities out there.)
