SB 307 heads toward vote on Senate floor

Writer's picture: Steve BrownSteve Brown

California Senate Bill SB 307 passed out of the Appropriations Committee today, with a full Senate vote expected before the end of the month. The bill will help ensure projects like the Cadiz Water Project must undergo thorough scientific review prior to approval, protecting the Mojave Desert's groundwater and the wildlife dependent upon it for survival.

We strongly encourage you to contact your senator to voice your support for SB 307. You can find your senator HERE.

David Lamfrom of the National Parks Conservation Association recommends tweeting our thanks to Senate leadership:

BREAKING: #SB307 passes out of Senate Approps Committee under leadership of #DesertDefenders @Portantino and @SenToniAtkins! Thank you, Senators, for standing up for science & against Trump’s attack on CA parks, water and wildlife! Now to the Senate Floor!

We will post additional recommended actions to support SB 307 as soon as possible.

Thank you for your support for the Mojave Desert!
