The Riverside County Planning Commission hearing on the new city, Paradise Valley, planned for the southern border of Joshua Tree National Park, has been delayed. Paradise Valley was on the agenda for the May 15 meeting of the Planning Commission, with a staff recommendation to delay consideration of the plan.

The Planning Commission set a special desert meeting date for August 21, 2019 at its regular June 5 meeting.
