Mojave Watch has crafted a simple 40 second public awareness video about the proposed reopening of the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan, or DRECP. The video, along with video interviews with desert experts on the potential impacts of changes in the DRECP, are also being promoted on Mojave Watch social media channels, including Facebook and Instagram. We encourage desert residents and those concerned about the future of the desert, to share these videos, to learn more, and to make sure they comment formally on the BLM's public scoping of the proposed reopening of the DRECP, by March 22, 2018.
