Pat Flanagan of the Morongo Basin Conservation Association has submitted detailed public comments on the proposed reopening of the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan (DRECP) on behalf of the MBCA.
The initial public comment period on the proposed reopening of the DRECP has closed. Expectations are that instead of leaving the DRECP intact, the BLM may continue with the reopening, offering a number of alternatives to study and choose from for an essentially new DRECP. This will result in additional opportunities for the public to study and comment on the proposed changes.
