Public comments on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Bureau of Land Management's West Mojave Route Network Project within the West Mojave (WEMO) Planning Area of the California Desert Conservation Area, must be submitted to the BLM by June 14.

Residents and offroaders are invited to submit their comments on what routes on BLM managed public lands in the Mojave Desert they would like to see open or closed. The process for reviewing individual routes in the different alternatives presented for each area is involved. There are four alternatives under consideration.

Alternative 1: No Action Alternative (6,074 miles of motorized routes)

Alternative 2: Emphasis on Conservation (5,231 miles of motorized routes)

Alternative 3: Emphasis on Recreation (10,864 miles of motorized routes)

Alternative 4: Preferred Alternative (BLM) (6,313 miles of motorized routes)

A guide to commenting is located HERE.
